DAN REMMES (writer/director) An accomplished actor and multiple award-winning writer, Dan Remmes marks his directorial debut with GEORGE. As a published playwright and recent winner of the New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship for playwriting and screenwriting, Dan's works have been produced throughout the U.S. and Canada (including the White House) featuring Emmy- and Obie-winning actors. With GEORGE, it was the importance of sustaining a delicate balance between comedy and tragedy that compelled him to direct his own script. Dan's goal with the film is to explore the conflicting emotions that afflict many dysfunctional families as their elders die, and to do so in a way that's outrageous, compelling, funny and ultimately real.

MARK TOCHER (producer/editor) A veteran of New York independent film, Mark is also an international documentary and television producer. A series of documentaries he produced in Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines have aired worldwide. Mark has over 100 New York production and post-production credits, but has proved equally comfortable with the challenges of shooting in such exotic locations as the jungles of Borneo, the deserts of Gujurat, the sprawling cities of Bombay and Calcutta, a golden Sultan's palace, a riverboat deep in the wilds of Sarawak and onboard the luxurious and speeding Bangkok-bound Eastern and Oriental Express.  For Mark, GEORGE was an opportunity to work with Dan Remmes, a writer whose work he has long admired.

Credits include re-creations for the Discovery and Hallmark channels and the films AMELIA, winner of Best Cinematography at NYU, POLAROID, which was lauded for its cinematography in IndieWire and AinŐt it Cool News, and the multi-award-winning EXIT. After NYU, she worked as a gaffer on such shows as SEX & THE CITY, LAW & ORDER, and ANALYZE THAT.  Jendra lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Alec Jarnagin, a Steadicam Operator and DP.  Her next film is the feature, JUNGLELAND.
